Hair Luv

I just wanted to show Keisha some hair luv. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous in this picture. It looks healthy and shiny. This is what I want my hair to look like at the end of 2013. Keisha definitely given me some hair motivation.

Creta Girl Bun

So I created a bun with my creta girl wig from freetress. I simply flat twisted the perimeter of my hair as my leave out and attached the wig to my stocking cap, using pins to blend my hair with the unit. Here is the link of where I got the idea for this hair style. Thanks Kanisha Reports Bun Tutorial!

In the future I plan on just wearing full wigs and having my hair braided underneath. I noticed my hair does better when it is not manipulated at all. I am venturing in to foreign territory but it's exciting.

New U-Part Remy Wig

So as you know, I'm on my wig game for the protective style challenge from Longing 4 Length. I'm so excited that I won this u-part wig from e-bay. Take a look she look just like me don't she (Sheneneh voice). I will most likely cut her as she is a little too long for my taste. I can't wait to get her in the mail, and get my Kelly Rowland on.

Update: Ms.Chanda is rocking a wig that is very similar to the one above. She has tutorial on blending but I will not be using heat with this hair. I will most likely flat twist the front of my hair. Check her blog out.

Protective Style Swag

Yunessa

So in my life, I never thought I would be wearing wigs. However, in this health hair journey they are a necessity. I will write about my hair story soon. It's a soap opera hunty (thanks Funky Dineva). In the mean time I am looking to decide on these 2 wigs, Yunessa and Eugene both by Model Model. They are 3/4 part wigs and youtube has been Hiroshima-ing (not sure if that's a term but I use it all the time) about them. I think I will buying both of them. They are not expensive and get away with out using heat. I like the fact I can have a leave out, cause I can not stand that wig crypt look. Both can be bought on divatress.com. I will definitely upload and write my own reviews on them. Here are some videos to entertain you in the mean time.

Redken Anti-Snap Review

Wash day after air drying
I actually purchased this product in October using it after I wash my hair as a leave in. In my research on hair care, I learned that Ceramides are very important in maintaining the integrity of relaxed hair. Now there are organic and synthetic ceramides, Redken's Anti-Snap is the latter. I have to say this has been working for me very nicely. It's not drying or irritating to my hair. I will definitely keep using this product, and update you on my progress with it. Below is a link of what Ceramides are and their benefits.

This is my first post for the protective style challenge from Longing for Length. I've been meaning to start a hair blog about my journey. However, due to a bug called lazy-itis I was unable to properly pursue this endeavor. I am really excited about sharing my hair journey with the world in hopes it can others and myself. The first image is from my kindergarten class, who doesn't have that braided hair picture. The second picture is of my protective style, but I will upload one of my real hair in January when I get my relaxer.
